As with most things, the Arkham Gazette’s prediction of “The
Great Heat Wave of 1921” was wrong and the hottest summer to ever
reach the city arrived two weeks early, in August. The black
painted streets of Arkham burned and cracked under the unforgiving
sun and anyone caught in bare feet would be yelping in pain at the
slightest touch of the sidewalk.
The world of the 1920's has stumbled forward absentmindedly into a new era, alcohol is outlawed, the city – once clean and new – is now littered with the remnants of failed advertisements and newspapers. The dark corners of the city push back the light forcing citizens to stay home most nights and find comfort in your own endeavors.
A breaking point sits just around the corner.
Call of Cthulhu is a horror fiction role-playing game based on H. P. Lovecraft's story of the same name and the associated Cthulhu Mythos. The game, often abbreviated as CoC, is published by Chaosium.
